Nicole Noelle Sherman
Custom jewelry by Nicole Noelle Sherman
Softhardwear is modern and unique; it is a gritty and glitzy mixture of hardware and gemstones. Created by local jewelry artist and author, Nicole Noelle Sherman, the innovative designs are shown in a redesigned 8x12 Icebox in the Chroma Projects Underground. Nicole has a unique eye for unexpected combinations. Stainless steel hexnuts, copper fittings, aluminum ferrules, and brass and rubber washers interplay with freshwater pearls and stones of exceptional quality. Antique keys, fishing lures and internal watch parts are some of the more unusual components in her necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
Select designs from the Nicole Noelle collection will also be featured on a rotating basis. Nicole’s innovative jangle bracelets feature dangling pearls, crystals and gemstones; her one-of-a-kind necklaces and earrings are seductive interpretations rather than trendy designs. Nicole has been a presence in the art scene for the last 10 years, previously showing in Charlottesville exclusively at Les Yeux du Monde. She has exhibited in select galleries and stores in New Hampshire, Nantucket and Northern and Central Virginia. She is the author of two internationally marketed jewelry design books. All her work is created in her studio in Free Union, Virginia.
